On Sunday the last medal decision took place at the European Ski Orienteering Championship in Imatra in Finland. There were relays for ESOC, JWSOC and EYSOC, and Middle distance for veterans.

In the men’s category it was the swedish team which took the first place. Martin Hammarberg, Ulrik Nordberg and Erik Rost won the gold medal. Russian team (Vladimir Barchukov, Eduard Khrennikov, Sergey Gorlanov) was about 14 seconds behind the Sweden. The bronze medal was taken by Finland (Tero Linnainmaa, Jyri Uusitalo, Ville Petteri Saarela).
The women’s race was very tight after the first leg, but in final it was a Russian team, who took gold. Alena Trapeznikova, Polina Frolova, Mariya Kechkina won the relay in front of the Finland (+0.48), in which team Mirka Suutari, Marjut Turunen, Salla Koskela took the second place. The bronze medals went to Sweden (Frida Sandberg, Magdalena Olsson, Tove Alexandersson).
